All Gourmet Sailing trips can be fully catered, with a menu designed by our chef, prepared and served to you by your stewardess — you won’t have to lift a finger! We are happy to accomodate special dietary requirements or prepare unique treats for special ocassions. Whether it’s a harbour cruise with drinks and nibbles for a large party, or a fully catered multi-day family holiday — we’ve got it covered!

Below are some examples from our menus — however please discuss options with us when you book. We make sure to use the freshest local ingredients, so availability varies between seasons.

Platters

Gourmet Sailing’s famous platters showcase the region’s finest ingredients.

Tasman Bay Seafood Platter
A selection of fresh seafood straight from the bay. Home smoked fresh salmon, marinated prawns, Marlborough green lipped mussels, bacon-wrapped scallops.

Antipasto Platter
A superb array of tasty and colourful home-blended pestos and dips, warm olives, premium salami, prosciutto or honey baked ham.

Gourmet “Trust the Chef” Platter
A selection from all of the above, focussed on what is fresh and fabulous on the day you depart. It’s a surprise!

New Zealand Boutique Cheese Platter
You will be delighted with a selection of artisan cheeses complimented by seasonal fruit, crackers and homemade breads.

Served to you by our stewardesses and always created with the freshest of seasonal Nelson ingredients, these bite sized morsels are perfect with a glass of bubbles or an
award winning Sprig & Fern beer! A selection of canapés is the perfect way to treat a larger group — whether it be for a staff function or celebration with friends and family.

on crisp greens, capsicum, cucumber, carrot, sprouts tossed with glace noodles in a sweet ginger sesame dressing.

Orange Scented Crispy Duck
on mixed greens & fresh summer vegetables.

Beverages

The Nelson and Marlborough regions are renowned for their vineyards, with a climate and terrain that produces internationally acclaimed wines. These hand-selected wines exemplify true varietal character and proudly display the Nelson region’s unique style. Gourmet Sailing also stocks award-winning beers from local brewery Sprig & Fern.*
