About Us
MILO & KIMBERLY COLDREN
Milo began sailing at the age of 8, growing up racing and cruising Canada’s Pacific coast. He has since sailed more than 50,000 miles commercially, competitively and recreationally, exploring remote areas of the globe such as Tierra del Fuego, the Falklands, Galapagos and Pitcairn islands. He is a commercial skipper, ASA Sailing instructor, New Zealand Coastguard Boating Education tutor and RYA powerboat instructor.
Kimberly’s background is food and hospitality and she possesses an insatiable curiosity for indigenous produce. Originally from the US, she has worked in one of Seattle’s top restaurants, and went on to represent some of the world’s finest wines. She learned to sail on a working holiday in Greece, and was taken in by the diversity, simplicity and peace of being at sea.
Kimberly and Milo met while racing in Seattle, bought a boat, and embarked on a memorable voyage circumnavigating the world, only to abandon it in 2002 when they fell in love with the beauty of the Nelson region. With their combined extensive experience in sailing and hospitality, they now take great pleasure in showing off this stunning region to locals and visitors alike.

RUBY NEEDHAM
Ruby is passionate about helping create amazing experiences for our guests. Originally from Nelson, she joined the professional yachting industry in 2013 and travelled extensively around the south Pacific and the coast of France on superyachts. Ruby completed the RYA Yacht Master Offshore ticket and is now working on the NZ skipper’s ticket. She loves being on and under the water, eating healthy delicious food, and practicing yoga. She looks forward to welcoming you aboard.

ANGELA KERNOHAN
Angela Kernohan was previously the chef of one of New Zealand’s top lodges, and when it became a private estate, she opened her own oasis in Nelson’s historic Melrose House. She then worked as a chef on elite superyachts around the world, but missed New Zealand so much she returned home.
